The single most underrated benefit to an effective digital asset management program is the ability to tag files. Even better if some level of automation or AI is used to help with this process. Its hard to find files based on when you created the file or even the file name. Best way is to use tags and perhaps where it is being used is helpful. The tagging feature even makes it worth it to store non creative data such as source code and documentation.
